Gold-Filled Vanilla Flowers Earrings

Three tiny vanilla Czech glass flowers dangle from fine gold-filled triple rope chain on gold-filled hooks. Each perfect flower is hand wrapped onto the chain for security. Very light and airy feel.

The flowers are a very pale translucent golden colour with hints of cream throughout.

Earrings hang approximately 1.25 inches (3 cm) from the top of the hook to the bottom of the flowers. Each flower is less than 1/4 inch across (each one is about 0.6 mm across), and 3/8 inch (0.5 mm) long. The chain is about 1mm thick.

Gold filled vs gold vermeil vs gold plated:

Gold plated = very thin layer of gold over top of a base metal such as copper or brass. (Gold layer is about .05 microns in thickness.)

Gold vermeil = very thin layer of gold over top of silver. (Gold layer is about 2.5 microns in thickness.)

Gold fill = thick layer of gold over top of either brass or silver. (Gold layer has to comprise at least 5% of the item by weight.)
